Choosing a Weasley : This is how much of a dork I am. I knew the perfect face without a second thought on it. I remembered Generation Girl Blaine from my childhood. I always thought he had a face that could be interpreted as arrogant or even a little smug. Whatever the case as soon as I thought of doing a Percy I went on ebay searching for Gen Girl Blaine.

Making a Weasley : {view before Image}

I did a lot of work on the Blaine head to make it Percy. Firstly, I removed the blond hair and gave him replacement molded hair. I also repainted his eyebrows, gave him freckles, and messed with his lip paint a bit. Percy is always a character I imagine being perfectly groomed and the molded hair gives that perfectly neat Percy look (to me). Percy (like Ron) is from the tall and lanky variety of Weasley boys (unlike the shorter and stocky variety, in which Charlie and the twins can be included) so his standard bent arm (short) Ken body just wouldn’t do. So he got a taller My Scene Male body. Even though neither Percy or Arthur Weasley wear glasses in the movies, both characters are described as wearing glasses in the book. So my Percy, of course, had to have his spectacles.

I made the black school robes he’s wearing in the featured photo. It was my first attempt at it. Proud of myself for sewing it all by myself. Yes, it looks a bit shabby (I’m no great seamstress) but he’s a Weasley so I can get away with it. It’s not like they can afford the best (unfortunately). I did later replace his robes though (since he’s a prefect and I wanted him to look nice) with robes from a 12″ Potter rag doll. It was a gift from my net friend at the time, Omar (same one who sent me Bill’s body) and they look awesome on him.

My Thoughts on the Result : I adore my Percy. He honestly turned out far BETTER than I thought.
Percy was perhaps the character I had the most precise view on and I have to say he came out pretty much how I imagined him pre-movie and how I still imagine him when I’m reading the books.
When it comes to by-the-book accuracy Percy is a pride and joy amongst my homemade Weasley clan.
